The Low Down


So you wake up, stand on the scales and the reading doesn’t look good. You notice the clothes that used to fit perfectly, are starting to get tight. Those around you start making Fat jokes about you.

So you decide to take action, you following conventional wisdoms, you cut your calories you start exercising like a man (or woman) possessed. Low fat everything. Only two teaspoons of sugar in your tea etc and before you know it you’re on the scales again and you got a big grin on your face. Things are going great but then the weight loss stalls and slowly the weight comes back with a vengeance and before no time at all, your back to your old ways of eating and not only have you put the weight back on, but now your fatter. You do this year after year hoping for a different result. This is the definition of madness/insanity, ‘doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results’.

So you start blaming yourself not realising it’s NOT your fault. You start blaming your metabolism (which was probably higher when you wasn’t on a diet and only slowed down when you decided to go on your diet).

You blame your God given genes (your genetics) not realising the same genes that you think have made you fat, has the same capacity to make you thin. (It’s just you have been sending them the wrong signals, more on this later)

If all of this sounds familiar then you’ve fallen in what I call ‘the diet trap’

I hope I have your attention now. I myself was feed up of these conventional wisdoms and it took me years to realise that MABY I’m not to blame but perhaps these conventional wisdoms are wrong. These government paid Dr’s/ Dietitians have got it wrong. May if I research hard enough, I’ll find what I’m looking for.

And behold I found exactly what I was looking for. Something that made absolute sense. It has worked for millions of people. Is backed up by some ground breaking, undisputed science. And more importantly a way of eating that is defiantly sustainable and is suprier to everything I had ever studied.

I myself at the beginning was extremely sceptical because it went against everything I had known or been taught. But now believe it to be the best way to lose weight and more importantly stay healthy.

One thing I realised very quickly, for every Medical Doctor/nutritionist, book, blog scientific research etc. that says one thing, there is another group of people on the other side of the road saying the opposite. So open-mindedness is key. I hope to show you that there is another side to weight loss and health, there is another group saying that conventional wisdoms have got it wrong.

But make no mistake, I’m not here to tell you I’m right and you’re wrong. You view the evidence. You see what works. You decide.

I’m not here to convert anyone to this way of eating (though many have). But what I can say it has worked for me and those who I have told this info to have also benefited much and all have been blown away by the research and evidence,

I was given the idea to translate my (limited) knowledge onto a blog. While I resisted and was very reluctant I realised sometimes the info on other blogs was either too simple or to complicated and seeing as I had a lot of people asking me how I lost so much weight doing no exercise, I realised perhaps it would be a good thing.

It took me weeks of research, listening to video after video, reading books and articles to get to the understanding that I have now. And even now my understanding and knowledge is developing/ growing so what I write today maybe tweaked tomorrow.

This knowledge to be honest is unheard of in mainstream media. But slowly the tables are turning, people are following the real science, more people are opening their eyes to Paleo/Primal/LCHF.

You MUST go through MOST of the material on this blog. I’m not saying you must do it ALL in one go. But by not reading/watching all the info will make your understanding of the LCHF diet deficient.

You may get the impression All fat is good or all carbs are bad or exercise has no benefit. Nothing could be further from the truth. So take your time. Think of it as an investment for your health, present and future, your Deen, Dunya and Akhira.
